Approximately 60000 are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease each year and more than 10 million people are living with PD. PD is a neurodegenerative disorder in addition to the causes of PD are so many, it's not caused by a single pathophysiologic disturbance. So many drugs are available to treat PD but all are only for symptomatic relief no one drug is a disease-modifying agent. Although so many targets are available for targeting the Synuclein alpha, mitochondrial oxidative stress, autophagy, targeting glial cell inflammation, targeting metal ion homeostasis. But till now no one drug is successful in targeting these targets. 		<title>Effect-of-Alcornea-cordifolia-Aqueous-and-Methanolic-Leaf-Extracts-against-Antituberculosis-Drugs-Induced-Liver-Damage-in-Rats</title>

		<description>{<![CDATA[The hepatoprotective properties of Alchornea cordifolia, a medicinal plant was studied in hepatotoxicity induced animal model with a high dose of paracetamol or carbon tetrachloride. Knowing that antituberculosis drugs also represent a risk factor for hepatotoxicity, could A. cordifolia play a key role to limit their hepatotoxicity? The objective of this study was to assess the histological changes of antituberculosis drugs in rat livers and their evolution after administration of an aqueous and a methanolic leaf extracts of A. cordifolia and therefore estimate their polyphenol and flavonoid contents.Rats were divided into three (3) groups: group 1 was treated with isoniazid; group 2 received the combination of isoniazid and rifampicin and group 3 was given the combination of isoniazid, rifampicin and pyraziamide. For each group of rats, the hepatotoxicant was either administered alone or two hours before administration of an aqueous (200, 400, or 800 mg/kg) or a methanolic (200, 400, or 800 mg/kg) leaf extracts of A. cordifolia each day for 10 days.  Animals were sacrificed on day 11 and their livers removed for histolopathological analysis. In addition, total polyphenol and flavonoid contents were estimated in both extracts.Antituberculosis drug combinations caused peliosis lesions, steatosis and hepatocyte necrosis. The liver histology of rats that received extracts after administration of antituberculosis drug combinations showed the ability of extracts to annihilate or alleviate hepatocellular damage caused by such drugs. The methanolic extract, richer in total polyphenols (0.55  0.02 mg EGA) than the aqueous extract (0.35  0.01 mg EGA) demonstrated a greater hepatoprotective effect.Thus, according to liver histological analysis, the aqueous and methanolic leaf extracts of A. cordifolia could attenuate the hepatotoxicity induced by antituberculosis drugs in rats.]]>}</description>

		<description>{<![CDATA[The Novel corona virus was first reported in Wuhan province of China in the late 2019. It outspread rapidly which led to a new health crisis throughout the world by the beginning of March 2020 and was considered as a global epidemic. Several deteriorating health symptoms, morbidity and mortality were reported globally by WHO, with more than 34 lakh deaths being reported by 26 May 2021. Presently 16 vaccines are approved under emergency use in different countries and more than 33 vaccines are under phase 3 clinical trials and nearly 130 vaccines are in development phase. By the end of 2020 several new variants in U.K, South Africa, Brazil and India were reported which caused the second wave of COVID-19, for which new trials of vaccine are running to evaluate the efficacy and safety. Several technical problems are associated regarding the production, storing and supplying of these vaccines.  For controlling the epidemic, the major challenge is to produce billions of vaccines and to make it available to the underdeveloped and poorer nations. This extensive review provides the details of the different variants of corona viruses reported in the different regions of the world, current vaccines approved under emergency use which are being administered throughout the globe, on-going and listed clinical trials on different vaccines under study for possible use in Covid-19 virus and future challenges associated with Covid-19 scenario.]]>}</description>

		<description>{<![CDATA[Background: The phenomenon which gives rise to a homogenous system, formed by the dissolution of solute in a solvent is known as solubility. Low solubility is the limiting factor in formulation development. Diclofenac being BCS class II drug have low aqueous solubility of 0.00401mg/ml. Amongst various solubility enhancement techniques, solid dispersion is the easiest one.Objective: Present work is primarily focused on the development of solid dispersions of diclofenac through solvent evaporation technique utilizing Eudragit E100 as a carrier.Methods: Solid dispersion consists of at least one active pharmaceutical ingredient as a carrier in solid state. Various methods for preparing solid dispersions includes melt extrusion, fusion lyophilization, spray drying, solvent evaporation, and super critical fluid (SCF) technology. Solvent evaporation technique is used among various solid dispersion methods.Conclusion: The enhanced solubility found to be 0.485mg/ml. The dissolution was performed using USP Type II apparatus was %CDR of pure drug and its solid dispersion in 8 hr were found out to be 45.14926% and 98.04758% respectively. Henceforth, solid dispersion technique results marked solubility enhancement of diclofenac sodium.]]>}</description>
