		<description>{<![CDATA[The Robinia pseudoacacia (Fabaceae) is one of the medicinal plants, Native to North America, commonly distributed in various regions of Kashmir. The plant is used as an antispasmodium, febrifuge, antioxidant; diuretic, emollient, antitumor etc. The present study was carried out to screen different solvent extracts of the Robinia pseudoacacia phytochemically for the presence of active constituents like Alkaloids, Flavonoids Saponins, Tannins, and Phenols. However, the positive results for the detection of Flavonoids, Tannins and phenols were obtained. The maximum yield of ethyl acetate extract of plant leaves 38.23% was obtained.]]>}</description>

		<description>{<![CDATA[Recent advancement made in oral treatment of Hepatitis C shows a great improvement in number and types of drugs provided to physicians and pharmacists to decide for an intelligent treatment plan. This pharmacotherapy leads to more effective, better tolerable and shorten duration regimens. The new drugs approved by FDA are more reliable and safe than the previous ones, but as they are more selective for one or two genotypes, so this still provides a room for improvement and development in treatment options, for which continuous research is going on. Current review focuses on why the new drugs were introduced and how they were better than the preceding ones. The drugs discussed here are in chronological order of their discovery from 2014 to 2016, besides their comparison with each other. The studies of different researchers have contributed in the acknowledgement of mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, clinical behaviour and adverse events of these drugs. The importance of IV Interferons therapy switched to all-oral treatment. And the provision of guidelines for better treatment protocols.]]>}</description>

		<description>{<![CDATA[Urinary   tract   infection   is   an   inflammatory response of the urothelium to bacterial invasion that is usually associated with bacteriuria and pyuria. Urinary tract infections (UTI) are most familiar pathogenic infections that cause severe complications of urinary tract and difficult problems. The development of drug resistance especially to antibiotics which are used in treatment of infection is major problem. The main objective of this study was to evaluate antibacterial activity of medicinal plant extracts against pathogenic bacteria most commonly Escherichia coli (E. coli) involved in UTIs. Different bacterial strains of E. coli were provided by Institute of Microbiology in University of Agriculture Faisalabad. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was also performed for direct detection and identification of E. coli by targeting UID gene. After confirmation of E. coli antimicrobial sensitivity of various antibiotics as quinolones, aminoglycosides, cephalosporin and beta-lactam were tested by standard disc diffusion method. Results were recorded as by measuring diameter of zone of inhibition and analyzed by analysis of variance techniques (ANOVA). Five antibiotics ampicillin, imipenem, Ciprofloxacin, Norfloxacin and Nalidixic acid showed resistance pattern towards three strains. Clove, cinnamon, garlic aqueous and ethanolic extracts were prepared and tested to check their antibacterial efficacy against isolated E. coli. Clove and cinnamon extracts has showed best antibacterial activity against UTI strains as by their mean  SE values (13.33  2.05 for clove and 11.33  0.5 for cinnamon). Ethanolic extract (10%) of clove with 27 mm, boiled extract (10%) of cinnamon and garlic with 16 mm and 14 mm diameters of zone of inhibition showed maximum inhibitory response. Combined effect of plant extracts 10% with antibiotics was also tested. In combined effect, resistance drugs ampicillin, Imipenem, Ciprofloxacin, Norfloxacin and Nalidixic acid showed susceptibility pattern as by increasing diameter of zone of inhibitions on three UTI strains. Hence it is concluded that combined effect is more (additive effect) than treated UTI alone with antibiotics. Various plant extracts can be used in combination with antibiotics as a treatment therapy in E. coli caused UTIs.]]>}</description>

		<description>{<![CDATA[Leachables and extractables are one of the most important reasons for drug product quality deterioration and degradation. These components tend to migrate from the interior regions of the packaging material to the drug product by causing interactions, due to absorption or adsorption of the same on the Drug Product. The USFDA, EU and Health Canada laid down specific non-exhaustive regulation and guidelines that are to be followed in mandatory to attain drug approvals from these regulated regions. The USFDA, in its recent revision of its ANDA (Abbreviated New Drug Application) checklist, has included leachables and 3xtractables as an essential parameter of rejection of the ANDA application. The same agency recommends the applicant to take up leachables and extractables study during the developmental stages, to avoid further repercussions. The EU, on the other hand, suggests the regulations on the same leachables and extractables mainly for the plastic-based packaging containers, while mentioning the testing for glass-based containers. Canada has the least of the three in content regarding the leachables and extractables however, the same country respects a proper protocol in testing, threshold setting and its inclusion in final CTD submission in line with the laid regulations of the USFDA. 		<description>{<![CDATA[The seasonal variation of protein, amino acids and alkaloids has been investigated in leaves, stem, roots and seeds of Trigonella foenum graecum. The leaves of Trigonella foenum graecum showed high level of protein content during summer season (5.131 mg/g dry wt.)  than monsoon (4.563 mg/g dry wt.) and winter (4.637 mg/g dry wt.) season. Comparative account of amino acid content of leaves of Trigonella foenum graecum showed higher level in summer season (0.914 mg/g dry wt.) and lowest amount of amino acid content in the leaves during monsoon (0.832 mg/g dry/wt.) season. The leaves of   Trigonella foenum graecum showed high level of alkaloid content in seeds (4.167 mg/g/dry wt.) and lower alkaloid content in root (range 1.006 to 1.231 mg/g dry wt.).]]>}</description>
